Bangladesh

Priya's Path to Education

"I never thought I would be able to read. Now I am top of my class and I want to become a teacher so I can help other children like me."

Priya was 9 years old when she was found working in a garment factory, unable to read or write. Through Bijoy International's rescue and education program, she was enrolled in our learning center. Within two years she had caught up with her peers and earned a scholarship to continue her studies. Today Priya is 14, thriving, and dreaming of a future in education.

India

A Safe Place for Raju

"For the first time in my life I felt safe. The people here treated me like family."

Raju was rescued from a trafficking network at age 11. Traumatized and malnourished, he arrived at our rescue home with no family to return to. Our team provided counseling, medical care, and a loving community. Raju has since completed vocational training in carpentry and now works with a local furniture cooperative, fully self-sufficient and free.

Nepal

Meena's Craft, Meena's Freedom

"Selling my work means I can feed my children and send them to school. I am proud of what I make."

Meena is a mother of three who was trapped in a cycle of debt bondage. After joining Bijoy International's artisan empowerment program, she learned traditional weaving techniques and began selling her work through our marketplace. Her income has tripled, her children are in school, and she now mentors other women in her village.

Kenya

Samuel Builds His Future

"I have skills now. I can build things with my hands and earn a living. Nobody can take that away from me."

Samuel dropped out of school at 13 to support his family after his father fell ill. He spent years in low-wage, dangerous work. At 17 he joined our vocational training center and completed a two-year program in construction and masonry. He was placed with a local contractor and within a year had saved enough to help his younger siblings stay in school.
